We all will experience times when we get weary from the challenges that face us. Sometimes, it feels like we get hit with one challenge or hardship after another. It is during those periods where we look for relief, but find none. It is during those times where some people decide to quit, and allow the situation overwhelm them. Some people will talk themselves into committing suicide, because they have become tired of the struggle and see no other solution. Others will go into a state of depression as a way to prevent themselves doing self harm. Then there are those who will drink and drug themselves to death, which is another form of suicide. All these choices are unhealthy.
God didn’t create us to be dominated by life, but to overcome the challenges this life brings our way. (Romans 8:35-38) But, for this to happen we have to have the right mindset. You have to think like an overcomer to become an overcomer. Jesus was able to look beyond the hardships He faced while on this planet. He was able to look at the end result, rather than focusing on the hardships. Jesus had the mindset that gave him the faith to endure. Because he knew what he was experiencing was temporary, but his reward would be eternal. We have to have that same mindset when facing adversity. It might be uncomfortable but that is when we need to focus on the goal or objective. Begin to feel the joy while in the midst of your hardships. This act of faith will get you through to the other side.
